Lawmakers' Views On Minnesota Mining

(St. Paul, MN)  --  Non-ferrous mining in Minnesota is among the issues on lawmakers' plate at the State Capitol today. Lawmakers get an overview of the PolyMet project in Hoyt Lakes this afternoon in Senate committee, and that same panel takes public testimony tonight on the draft environmental impact statement for that controversial project.  On Wednesday, lawmakers debate a bill that would strengthen the damage deposit companies would need before doing sulfide mining in Minnesota.
