(Duluth, MN) -- One of Minnesota's more optimistic economists has become less positive about the economic recovery, especially in northeastern Minnesota. Duluth economics professor Tony Barrett says the recession has hit harder and longer than many people expected. He says Minnesota's mining industry will not see big improvement until factory orders increase -- and that's not happening. As a result, he says Duluth and Superior will likely struggle through another bad shipping season.
