The Script tapped some rock-royalty to star in their latest music video. According to British paper the Daily Record, Bono’s daughter Eve will be the lead in the clip for their song “For The First Time,” the first single off of their forthcoming album, Science & Faith. Lead singer Danny O’Donoghue joked that they decided to go with Eve after “Brad and Angelina said no.”

A BON JOVI RESIDENCY IN VEGAS?

Could Bon Jovi be the next major artist to take up residency in Las Vegas? According to British paper The Mirror, after a successful residency at London’s O2 Arena earlier this summer, the New Jersey rockers have received a multimillion-dollar offer to set up shop permanently in Sin City. Exact details are scarce, but the paper does say that the band is “excited” by the offer.

Stories about Katy Perry’s relationship with Russell Brand have been getting almost as much attention as her music, but it may be time for that to come to an end. The lady with the number-one album in the country told the Associated Press that after the pair tie the knot, they’re not going speak publicly about their relationship anymore. Perry says that it’s because once they’re married, there will be nothing more to say about the subject.

Colbie Caillat has been out on tour this summer with Sheryl Crow, and it seems that she’s been having a blast. The latest series of greeting cards written and inspired by Taylor Swift are available exclusively at Target Stores now through early November. COLDPLAY MAN PLAYS NEW SONG

Coldplay are said to be working on a new album right now and Chris Martin might have unveiled some of its contents this week. On Wednesday, the Coldplay frontman performed at Apple’s press conference to announce Ping and iPod updates. Martin performed a melancholy track called “Wedding Bells,” saying it was a new track that “may never come out.” Fans of Coldplay should check out the performance on YouTube now.

TAIO CRUZ TALKS ILLEGAL DOWNLOADING

British crooner Taio Cruz is urging fans not to download music illegally from the Internet. The singer told English newspaper The Daily Star that he understands why a kid wouldn’t get why it’s important to not illegally download, but he goes on to say that file-sharing has already harmed his career. Cruz said that he had to create his Rockstarr brand, including a fragrance and sunglasses, to bridge the gap and he plans to add a whole range of products to the line. Cruz has scored two hits with “Break Your Heart” and his latest single, “Dynamite,” is on top of the U-K singles chart and is at number three on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

JESSE McCARTNEY PREPS NEW SINGLE!

Jesse McCartney will release his new single, “Shake,” on Tuesday, September 21st. The song will be will be available exclusively as a free download through popular music app Tap Tap Revenge for the first two days of release. “Shake” is the first single from McCartney’s yet-to-be-titled upcoming album, which he’s currently recording in Los Angeles with producers Sean Garrett, Kevin Rudolf and more.

DOUGLAS TALKS RADIATION. Michael Douglas is speaking more about his cancer treatment, saying the radiation and chemotherapy is tiring him out. He told People magazine that it’s a fight, but one that he plans on winning. The 65-year-old actor is being treated for a tumor at the base of his tongue.

NO MORE HEIDI-SPENCER SEX TAPE! We can’t tell whether this is good or bad news, but TMZ is reporting there won’t be a Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt sex tape released anytime soon. In a letter Pratt wrote to Vivid Entertainment, he says Heidi has no interest in releasing the tapes and Spencer doesn’t want to further destroy his relationship with her.

PARIS HILTON BANNED FROM VEGAS HOTELS! Paris Hilton has been banned from the Wynn and Encore resorts in Las Vegas. The ban comes after she was arrested Friday and charged with possession of cocaine. During her arrest, Hilton was taken inside the Wynn casino to go to the bathroom and that’s when the drugs were found in her purse.

PALIN AND JEWEL’S SKIT! Jewel has released another video on FunnyOrDie. It’s titled “Betwixt The Music” and in it, the singer tells the story behind a band she formed with Sarah Palin. Jewel insists before she made it big time, Sarah was part of her duo and played the flute. LAW & ORDER: L-A UPDATE! Law & Order: SVU hottie Mariska Hargitay will make a guest appearance on the new Law & Order: Los Angeles show. According to E! ACTOR’S STABBING TRIAL! The 40-Year-Old Virgin actor Shelley Malil, who plays an electronics clerk in the flick, is on trial for attempted murder. More details have come to light about Malil’s alleged actions and according to People magazine, the actor walked up to his ex-girlfriend two years ago in her backyard and started stabbing her repeatedly. Shelley’ girlfriend was stabbed more than 20 times, but survived, The 45-year-old actor has pleaded not guilty to the charges but if he’s convicted, he could face up to 21-years in prison.

KATY PERRY TO JUDGE AMERICAN X-FACTOR?

Could Katy Perry be a judge on the American version of Simon Cowell’s The X-Factor? According to British paper the Daily Mail, Simon is ready to offer Perry a spot on his panel after he was impressed with how she did during her guest stint on the U-K version of the show. A source said that Cowell wants to get all the judges signed on and announced within the next six weeks, and that he’s ready to offer Perry a salary of 340-thousand dollars per show.

Before a recent show in Edmonton, Canada, Lady Gaga posted a picture on her Twitter page from inside Rexell Place arena, where the Edmonton Oilers play. In the photo, the singer blanked out a letter in a banner that says “This is Oil Country” to make “country” have a bad word in it. Gaga may have found it funny, but apparently city officials in Edmonton did not. PARIS WILL BE CHARGED WITH DRUG FELONY! TMZ reports that Paris Hilton will be charged with a drug felony for possession of a controlled substance. She was pulled over by Vegas police on Friday night and the cops found .8 grams of cocaine in her purse. If convicted of the felony charge, she could go to prison for up to four years.

SWIFT DISCUSSES NEW SONGS ON SPEAK NOW

Taylor Swift is known for writing lyrics that address her personal life, and her third album, Speak Now, is no exception. Taylor dished to Entertainment Weekly about the story behind the lyrics of two songs we can expect on the disc. She wrote 30 songs for the record, but only 14 made the cut. Taylor says “The Story Behind Us” describes “the anxiety, conflict, and awkwardness you feel when running into an ex in public.” “Back to December” is the first song Taylor has written apologizing to a boy. She says, “I was careless with a boy’s heart, and I shouldn’t have been.” Taylor reportedly broke-up with Valentine’s Day co-star Taylor Lautner in December. Speak Now will be released October 25th.

BON JOVI REVEAL DETAILS TO GREATEST HITS ALBUM

Bon Jovi are working on a Greatest Hits collection and the band just revealed that they’ve recorded four new tracks for the album. Along with 16 of the group’s classic tracks, the regular version of the album will include two new songs, and one of them is the record’s lead single, “What Do You Got?” A 28-track deluxe version called Greatest Hits – The Ultimate Collection will also be released and it not only includes the two new songs but two more new ones as well. It was recently reported that wax statues of Lady Gaga would soon debut at 10 different Madame Tussauds around the world, and some more details have begun to surface. According to PopEater, all those wax Gaga’s are reportedly going to cost around 1.5-million dollars. No word yet on which Madame Tussauds you’ll be able to see the figures of the pop star.

Leona Lewis says she doesn’t drink alcohol very often and perhaps now we know why. According to British paper the Daily Mirror, the pop star was out at a London theater watching a show and “reportedly drinking alcohol with pals,” and during the show, a source says that Lewis kept shouting at one of the female dancers on stage saying, “She’s so hot.” Lewis recently split from her longtime boyfriend, so maybe she was just out trying to let off some steam.

According to Billboard, Nicole Scherzinger is going to guest star on How I Met Your Mother next season.
